We know you go through your closets, basement, and garage each change of seasons, cleaning out those items you’ll never wear or use again. When you do, think of us and donate!

Donations may be made during our open hours, however, donations larger than 25 items are preferred to be donated on Thursdays between 3-6pm when more staff are available.

Items we DO accept:

• Items must be clean and in good condition (where you would purchase it for you or your family).
• Thrift store donations are accepted only during open hours. Please, do not leave items outside. 
• Thrift Store donations are preferred on Thursdays 3-6 p.m. when there are more volunteers on staff to help.
• It is preferred that donations over 25 items are prearranged so more staff can be on hand.

CLOTHES

• Clothing and shoes (children - all ages - and adult)
• Accessories such as: Hats, gloves, scarves, ties, purses, wallets, backpacks, belts, jewelry

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS

• Kitchen items, dishes, glassware, home decor, collectible antiques, knickknacks
• Linens, sheets, blankets, towels, curtains
• No electrical items

ENTERTAINMENT

• Hardback and paperback books
• Games, puzzles, and smaller toys
• No electrical items

Items we CANNOT accept:

• Mattresses, box springs
• Cribs, car seats, strollers, or items designed for babies to sit in
• Furniture, lamps, appliances, dehumidifiers, dresser mirrors
• Televisions, computers, printers, shredders, CD players, speakers, gaming systems
• Electronic appliances, power tools, irons, blenders, mixers, freezers, refrigerators
• Carpet rolls or construction scrap
• Hazardous waste or chemicals
• Firearms, stun guns or firearm accessories
• Out of season clothing or holiday decorations

When there is a surplus of items, Front and Center's Thrift Store partners with other organizations.

The Landing -- homeless shelter in Rochester
Threads -- clothing boutique at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church
Soles for Souls -- shoes that are resoled and sent to Africa
Free the Girls -- bras to support victims of human trafficking
The Basement/Lower Room 2 -- baby/children's clothes and baby equipment
Second-hand stores -- where we bring any other "unusable" donations
